5 Dead Famous Artists Nominated In The 2008 Golden Kayak Awards
The IAIA (International Academy of Independent Artists) is a group of artists (IAC Prime Supporters) who nominate and vote for their peers, to recognize musical excellence in the past year and the Golden Kayak represents the journey of the indie artist - in the sense of one artist navigating down the river towards destiny.
While there are several categories and even more nominees in each, FIVE Dead Famous Artists have been nominated in FOUR different categories and those are: Best Band, Best Hard Rock Song, Best Metal/HardRock Song, and Best Pop Song.
We’d like to take the time to let these artists know how very happy we are to see them rising to the top and we’d also like to take the time to thank their fans for all the great support they have provided them with.

Dead Famous Artists Fills 36% of the Top 25 Slots in the Hard Rock Genre @ the IACMusic.com Site
It just keeps getting better and better, at the date this post is being written, Dead Famous Artists currently holds 9 of the Top 25 slots at IACMusic.com in the hard rock genre.
In case you didn’t know it, IAC is the Independent Artists Company, and the Indie Capital of the World, and each year they hold the Golden Kayak Awards. To qualify you must have at least 2 #1 songs or 3 Top 5 songs on the KIAC Big 50. The founders are all indie artists themselves with years of experience in music, particularly in the realm of online mp3 sites. The CEO Dave Walton also started another music site that’s still in operation to this day and was an innovator in the field of internet radio. The COO Scott Stambaugh worked for another site previously and founded an artist rights organization. With Executive VP Sandy Zeiger, the 3 founders live for rock and the championing of indie artists.
Dead Famous Artist NEW SELF HIGH has also secured the Top 3 positions in their genre. And just this year, at the 2008 Golden Kayak Awards, Dead Famous Artist FYREFLY, was nominated for three of their songs!
We couldn’t be more pleased with the fans as the continue to push our artists over the top! Thanks to all the Dead Famous Artist’s Fans!!
